Day 31: Walls

Your walls are too high, it’s impossible to get through to you.”

Let me tell you about these walls.

These walls have been rebuilt over and over, to ensure that with each renovation, the foundation is solid and the structure is renewed.

With each brick, hope is thoughtfully spread across, edges sealed with optimism, sweet nothings fill the cracks-and time is given to ensure that each has properly sealed before placing another.

You see, these walls were built to be weathered, tested, shaken, and rocked.

they were never meant to be conquered, climbed, or knocked down.

They are a living, and breathing entity.

These walls tell stories, just as scars on the skin-if one just stopped and listened.

If you took the time to step back, and look up-you would see that these are not just walls-but that they are a home.

that right around the corner..there’s been a door there all along, and that there’s always been a key hidden under the mat.
